Airforce Airman Musician Trade

Eligibility for Airman in Airforce Musician Trade (Group ‘Z’):

Age: 17 years minimum and maximum is 22 years.

Education:

  • Those candidates who are Matriculation/ 10th class passed or equivalent, should be between 17-25 years of age.
  • Candidate must be proficient in one of the following music instruments:- Trumpet /Bass/ Violin/ Saxophone/ Clarinet/ Euphonium /Jass-Drum/ Piccolo/Bass Trombone/ Key Board/ Guitar/ Sarod/  Viola/ Cello/ Contra Bass (String Bass).

Medical Standards:

  • Minimum Height: 162 cms
  • Weight: As per height and age.
  • Vision: Aided vision of at least 6/9 in each eye or unaided vision of 6/36.
  • Chest: Minimum range of expansion should be 5 cm.
  • Hearing: Candidate should be able to hear forced whisper at a distance of 6 meters with each ear separately.
  • Dental: Candidate should have good set of teeth with at least 14 dental points.

Selection Procedure for Airman:

Candidates for Musician trade are tested in English dictation and proficiency to play the musical instrument. candidates have to pass in both tests separately.

Airman in Air force Technical branch

Eligibility for Airman in Air Force (Group ‘X’):

Age: Age required to apply for this job is 17 years minimum and maximum is 20 years.

Education:

  • Candidates should have passed Intermediate/10+2 with Mathematics and Physics, English with a minimum 50 percent marks aggregate and 50% marks in English. OR
  • A candidate who passed 3 year Diploma course in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile / Computer Science / Instrumentation Technology / Information Technology with at least 50% marks from a Govt. recognized Polytechnic Institute and 50% marks in English in Diploma or Intermediate exam is eligible.

Selection Procedure for Airman:

A written test will be taken in Physics, Mathematics and English and based on CBSE 12th syllabus.

This written test is based on CBSE syllabus and objective type, question paper is bilingual (English & Hindi). However English paper is in English medium only.
Test Duration: 60 minutes

Physical Fitness Test :

  • 1.6 KM run in 8 minutes.
  • 10 push-ups
  • 10 sit-ups
  • 20 squats

Interview in Air Force :

Candidates who clear Fitness Test will be interviewed by a team of Officers.

Those who qualify interview will undergo Trade Allocation Test for bifurcation into Mechanical and Electronics stream. A medical fitness will be taken after this.

Air Force Airman (Y Trade)

Eligibility for Airman in Group ‘Y’:

Age: 17 -20 Years
Nationality: Unmarried male Indian citizens (citizen of Nepal are also eligible)
Education: Intermediate/10+2 or equivalent examination with minimum 50% marks in Science / Arts / Commerce and minimum 50% marks in English subject. OR
Passed 2 year Vocational course with minimum 50% marks
Medical Eligibility: same as for Airman in Group Z (Music Trade)

Selection Procedure for Airman:

Candidates are tested in English (based on CBSE Class Xllth Std.) Reasoning and General Awareness (RGA) for all Group ‘Y’ trades. Question papers are objective and bilingual (English and Hindi). Duration of Written Test is 85 minutes.

Physical Fitness Test :

  • 1.6 KM run in 8 minutes.
  • 10 push-ups
  • 10 sit-ups
  • 20 squats

Interview in Air Force :

Group (C) Jobs in Air Force Command Units

Guide for Group ‘C’ posts in Air Force: Indian Air Force have Air Commanding Stations across country like Agra, Bareilly, Gorakhpur, Allahabad, Nainital, Varanasi and other cities. Air requires various people to manage these commands units and it recruits candidates for various posts like LDC, Driver, Telephone operator and other.

Various Posts and Eligibility:

Age Criteria: 18 to 25 years
Salary: Rs. 5200 to Rs. 20200

1. Lower Division Clerk (LDC): Candidate must be 12th (10 + 2) passed and must posses English typing speed of 35 words per minute or 30 words per minutes speed in Hindi typing.
2. Driver (MTD): High School passed and must be holding light and heavy vehicle civil driving license. Candidate also must be professional motor mechanism and have 2 years experience in driving vehicles.
3. Telephone Operator: 10th passed + proficiency in handling of Private Battery Exchange.

1. Candidates needs to send their duly typed application to Air Force Commanding Officer in prescribed format with passport size photo attached.
2. Candidate must send copy of Birth Certificate or Metriculation certificate, Experience Certificate, Character certificate issued by School Principal / Village Pradhan or Gazetted Officer.
3. Candidate must also send a self-addressed envolope (23 cm x 10 cm size) with Rs. 25 postage stamp.
4. Candidate must also clearly mnention “Application for the post of (Post Name)”
