What is CLAT?

CLAT is the biggest Law Entrance exam in India that opens doors for admission in LLB (Hons.) and LLM programmes in NALSAR, NLSIU, NLIU, HNLU, GNLU, RMLNLU, RGNUL, CNLU, NUALS, NLUO, NUSRL and NLUJA. WBNUJS offers B.Sc.-LLB, NLU Jodhpur and NLUO offers B.B.A.-LLB and GNLU offers B.Sc./B.B.A./B.S.W./B.Com. LLB course.

CLAT 2013 Exam date: 6 July 2016 (Date for CLAT 2017 is not announced yet)

CLAT Eligibility :

For LLB Course: To appear in CLAT exam candidate must obtained more than or equal to 45% in Board exams (40% in case of SC/ST/OBC and PWD), however candidate whose result is awaited can also apply. Age of the candidate should be not more than 20 years (22 for SC/ST).

For LLM Course: A candidate must secured minimum 55% marks (50% for SC & ST candidates) in LLB from a recognized university.

CLAT Exam Pattern:

For LLB programme: For each correct response one mark wil be given and for each incorrect response 0.25 mark will be deducted.

CLAT Application Form:

CLAT application for 2013 will cost Rs. 3000 for general students and Rs. 2500 for SC and ST candidates. CLAT application form also includes CLAT previous year papers. Candidate can buy forms at State Bank of India (SBI) branch.
