Engineering Diploma courses in AMU:

  • Duration of Course: 6 months
  • Engineering Diploma Branches: Civil Engineering / Computer Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Electronics Engineering / Information Technology / Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Architectural Assistantship / Interior Design / Leather Goods & Footwear Technology
  • Eligibility for Diploma: Senior Secondary (10+2) with at least 45% marks in aggregate of English, Maths, Chemistry and Physics.

Entrance Exam Pattern:

(a) Science (Physics, Chemistry and Life Science) : 50 Marks
(b) Mathematics : 30 Marks
(c) General Knowledge : 10 Marks
(d) Indo-Islamic Culture : 10 Marks

Bachelor Engineering Courses in AMU:

Check AMUEEE Entrance Exam for admission into B. Tech (7 branches), BE-Evening (3 branches) and B. Arch.

Master’s Engineering Courses in Aligarh Muslim University:

Master of Technology (M. Tech.) Branches (Specialization):

  • Chemical Engineering: Process Modelling and Simulation / Computer Aided Design of Process Plant
  • Civil Engineering: Hydraulic Structure / Structural Engineering / Environmental Engineering / Geotechnical Engineering)
  • Computer Engineering: Computer Science & Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering: Instrumentation and Control / Power System and Drives / High Voltage and Insulation Engineering
  • Electronics Engineering: Communication and Information System / Electronic Circuits and System Design
  • Mechanical Engineering: Thermal Engineering / Industrial and Production Engineering / Machine Design

Eligibility for M. Tech: B. Tech / BE in relevant branch with minimum 60% marks and at least 50% marks in GATE Exam.

For M. Tech (Nanotechnology) only: Candidates who have M. Sc Degree in Physics / Chemistry/ Life Science with 60% marks are also eligible for M.Tech. Nanotechnology course.

AMU M. Tech Entrance Exam: 2 hours objective type question paper from relevant branch.

M. Sc (Polymer Science and Technology):

Eligibility: B. Sc (Chemistry/ Industrial Chemistry/ Applied Chemistry /Polymer Chemistry) or B.Voc. (Polymer & Coating Technology) with minimum 55% marks.

Exam Pattern: 100 objective type questions

Post Graduate Engineering Diploma Courses:

Nanotechnology:

  • Eligibility: Minimum 60% marks in B. Tech./ M. Sc. (Physics / Chemistry).
  • Selection Process: (a) Objective type competitive exam and (b) Departmental Test

Food Technology:

  • Eligibility: Minimum 60% marks in Diploma (Mechanical / Refrigeration & Air-conditioning / Production
    / Chemical / Environmental / Agriculture / Electrical / Instrumentation & Control / Electronics /
    Computer / Civil / Construction Technology/Plastic Technology/Architectural Assistant-ship /
    Interior Design/ Leather & Footwear Tech) or 50% marks in B. Sc. (Science / Life Sciences / Industrial Chemistry / Home Science)
