The fashion industry is considered among the high growth sector of the economy. It offers tremendous opportunities at various levels. The major functional area are designing garments, cutting the cloth, sewing the pieces together and finally merchandising.

Skills needed to be a Designer:

  • visual imagination
  • able to express ideas in sketch
  • understanding of market and trends
  • Should be artistic
  • good communication skill

Designer Profiles :

Fashion Designer: Undergraduate/Graduate/Postgraduate with 0-3 years experience in Fashion, Garments, Merchandising. Desired attributes: Candidate should be good looking, good personality should have really good sense of dressing along with good in sketching.

Interior Designer: Graduation degree/diploma from reputed institute with minimum 5 years experience and an ability develop seasonal range, co-ordinate suppliers and buyers.

`Assistant Interior Designer: Interior Designing with 1-2 year experience and thorough knowledge of Auto Cad and furniture detailing.

Footwear Designer: Diploma from reputed footwear institute in India or abroad with 5 yrs working experience having capability design footwear for gents, ladies shoes and sandals.

Production Merchandiser: Textiles with in depth knowledge of textiles and best manufacturing practice.

AutoCAD Designer: Degree/diploma from a reputed Interior Design/Architectural Institute with proficiency in Auto Cad and 2 years experience in interiors.

Interior Design Co-coordinator: Having degree of B.Arch. Interior Designing with 5 years experience in special finishes residential and commercial projects.

Visual Merchandiser: Graduates in Interior Design with proven experience in home interiors industry and through knowledge of showroom layouts, creating room setting themes and different create ambiences.

Production Manager Production manager is the head of Manufacturing Department and is responsible for achieving work goals, training of workers, etc…. Fashion coordinator deals with the buyer and production manager.
