What is CLAT (Common Law Admission Test)?

CLAT Law Entrance exam is the biggest Law Entrance exam in India that opens doors for admission in LLB (Hons.) and LLM programmes in NALSAR, NLSIU, NLIU, HNLU, GNLU, RMLNLU, RGNUL, CNLU, NUALS, NLUO, NUSRL and NLUJA. CLAT Exam Pattern:

For LLB programme: For each correct response one mark wil be given and for each incorrect response 0.25 mark will be deducted.
Maximum Marks: 200 marks
Maximum Time: 120 Minutes
Maximum Questions: 200 questions

For LLM programme: There will be total 54 questions of 150 marks and maximum two hours are allowed.

Marks carrying: 25 x 4 = 100

Subject: Multiple-Choice Questions(from all compulsory law subjects prescribed by the BCI for the Under-Graduate Course except Constitutional Law and Jurisprudence)
No. of questions:  50
Marks carrying: 50 x 1 = 50

CLAT Eligibility :

For LLB Course: To appear in CLAT exam candidate must obtained more than or equal to 45% in Board exams (40% in case of SC/ST/OBC and PWD), however candidate whose result is awaited can also apply. Age of the candidate should be not more than 20 years (22 for SC/ST).

For LLM Course: A candidate must secured minimum 55% marks (50% for SC & ST candidates) in LLB from a recognized university.
