What is Karnataka SET?

University of Mysore conducts Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) for Lecturer / Assistant Professorship in colleges and universities.

Karnataka SET Important Dates (Tentative):

Online Application: July to August
Exam Date: 1st Sunday of December
Exam Date: Last Sunday August

Karnataka SET Eligibility:

  • Candidate must have obtained at least 55% marks in Master’s Degree.
  • There is no upper age limit.

Karnataka SET Exam Pattern:

First Session:

  • Paper I: Teaching Aptitude – 100 marks (50 questions to be attempt out of 60)
  • Paper II: Subject choose by Candidate – 100 marks (50 questions)

Second Session:

  • Paper III: Subject choose by Candidate (in depth questions) – 150 marks (75 questions)

Candidates must obtain at least 40% marks in Paper I & Paper II each and 75% marks in Paper III.
