Thapar University BE / B Tech admission in First year:
Eligibility for BE/B. Tech course or BE-MBA dual degree: Candidate should have obtained 60% aggregate marks in Maths, Physics Chemistry / Biology / Biotechnology and Technical Vocational subject in Intermediate exam or Diploma and have secured 72 aggregate marks in JEE-Mains Exam.
Note: Candidates who have secured more than 80% marks in above subjects at Intermediate exam and have secured minimum 48 marks in JEE-Mains are also eligible.
Admission will be done on the basis of Merit in JEE-Mains.
Eligibility for B. Tech (Biotechnology): Candidate should have passed Intermediate (10 + 2) with minimum 60% marks in aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Biology and have secured 20% marks in NEET.
Note: Candidates who have secured 80% marks in above mentioned subjects in Intermediate exam and have secured at least 15% marks in NEET are also eligible.
Admission will be done on the basis of Merit.
Admission into Second semester of BE / B. Tech:
Eligibility Criteria for admission into second semester of BE / B. Tech and Dual Degree Course: 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Chemistry / Biology / Biotechnology and Technical Vocational subject and 20% marks in Thapar University Entrance Test.
80% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Chemistry / Biology / Biotechnology and Technical Vocational subject and 15% marks in TU Entrance Test.
